By 2030, over 70 percent of educational materials will be created using artificial intelligence. This was announced by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, Valery Falkov, at the International Youth Festival taking place in Yekaterinburg. "Artificial intelligence should be viewed as the infrastructure on which all processes in the education system will be based," Falkov noted.

According to him, it is proposed to introduce two mandatory courses on artificial intelligence in Russian higher education institutions. The first course will focus on the basics of AI for all students, while the second will teach the use of artificial intelligence in specific professions and fields.

The basic module is initially proposed to be tested at 17 universities within the framework of a new higher education model. A unified digital education platform and a student support system are also planned for development.

According to forecasts, by 2030, more than 60 percent of higher education institutions will transition to a mixed model that combines traditional and online education options. Falkov had previously emphasized that it is necessary not to prohibit the use of AI, but to properly integrate it into the educational process.

He stated that while technology helps complete tasks more quickly, excessive reliance on it could lead to a decline in students' knowledge in the long run. The International Youth Festival is taking place in Yekaterinburg from September 11 to 17, with 10,000 young participants.

Applications for the festival have been received from 191 countries, and Uzbekistan is participating with one of the largest delegations among CIS countries.
