Plans to Ensure Adequate Student Dormitory Spaces by 2030

The minister stated that efforts to increase the number of dormitories are ongoing based on a presidential decree. New accommodations are primarily being built under a public-private partnership.

Over the past 10 years, dormitories with a total of 100,000 places have been constructed. According to Kungirotboy Sharipov, 100,000 student dormitory places have been built in the republic over the last decade.

In comparison, only 55,000 places were built in the previous 100 years. The minister noted that by 2030, the construction of dormitories will continue, fully addressing student needs.

According to the minister, a significant portion of students in daytime education are young people from other regions. Some of them have the opportunity to be accommodated in student dormitories.

For students who could not secure a place in a dormitory and are living in rented accommodations, there is a system in place for the state to cover part of the rental costs. Who will be prioritized for dormitory placement?

In placing students in dormitories, priority is given to: students in need of social protection; young people with disabilities; students coming from remote and distant regions. It was also reported that students in need of dormitory spaces can register through a special electronic platform.

According to the plan, new dormitories will continue to be built to fully meet student needs by 2030.
