Early Childhood Educators with Secondary Special Education to Study in Bachelor's Programs through Dual Education

Tashkent, June 25 — Sputnik. From the 2026/2027 academic year, public and private preschools will be able to train early childhood educators with secondary special education in bachelor's programs through a dual education system.

This is established in a government decision to implement a system for training bachelor's degrees based on international experience in early childhood education. According to the decision, pedagogical staff working in early childhood education institutions will be trained on a fee-based system.

Under the dual education system, they will attend classes one day a week at a university and continue their work at their institutions for the remaining five days. Educators with secondary special education who have worked in preschools for at least three years will be admitted based on testing.

Furthermore, only educators working in the relevant preschool institutions will be accepted into pedagogical universities for dual education. Starting from the 2028/2029 academic year, additional opportunities will be created for students of the Uzbek National Pedagogical University, and from the 2029/2030 academic year, for students of pedagogical universities within the ministry's system.

Graduates of bachelor's programs with international educational programs will be able to participate for free in professional certification exams alongside the final state certification.
