Winners of Science Olympiads to Receive 50 BHM Awards

According to the government resolution dated September 17, 2026, number 499, the procedure for organizing science olympiads among university students has been approved. The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations will manage this process.

The regulation also includes the preparatory processes for both national and international olympiads. A unified electronic information system will be created for conducting the olympiads, designed for participant registration, process monitoring, and result publication.

The development of control materials and coordination of organizational processes will be carried out by the Center for the Development of Higher Education and Global Cooperation. ## Stages of National Olympiads - Stage 1 — among undergraduate students; - Stage 2 — in foundational higher education institutions.

Winners who secure 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places at each stage will be recommended for the next stage. ## Monitoring and Appeals Procedure The auditoriums where the olympiads will be held will be equipped with video surveillance, and the use of communication devices during the process will be prohibited.

Results will be announced on the same day the competition is held. The winner of the 1st place will receive 22 million sums, while the mentor will receive 11 million sums. ## Monthly Allowances for Mentors Mentors who prepare winners of international olympiads will receive a monthly allowance equal to 100% of their salary, while those who prepare winners of the II stage of the national science olympiad will receive 50%. The list of prestigious international olympiads will be approved by the ministry and updated annually.

The selection of national teams and ensuring their participation will be carried out based on a separate regulation. Additionally, the possibility of organizing extra science olympiads has been established.

Measures will be taken to conduct international science olympiads in chemistry and biology among students by January 1, 2027.
