Israel Strikes Syria Again

According to Reuters, Syria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that a drone fired upon a vehicle carrying civilians traveling near the village of Beit Jinn. As a result, civilians were injured, with state television reporting at least one person hurt.

Israel claims the strike was aimed at an individual posing a direct threat to its soldiers. However, details regarding the weapons and means used were not clarified.

Tensions between the two countries escalated following attacks on the Abu ad-Duhur airbase on August 18. Binyamin Netanyahu's office stated that the operation was conducted to prevent the deployment of Turkish troops to the base.

Official Ankara emphasized that sending its forces to the site is not planned. Special Envoy for Syria Tom Barrack described the airstrike as 'unnecessary escalation.' Former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon called for Binyamin Netanyahu's removal from power due to the attack.
