Is full payment of the contract required by September 15? Payment deadlines explained
In the 2026/2027 academic year, newly admitted students recommended for contract-based study are not required to make a full annual payment by September 15. It is sufficient to pay 25% of the contract amount by that date.

The total annual contract amount is structured around four main deadlines. It is important to note that the 50% and 75% in the table are not separate payment amounts but rather the proportions that must be paid by the specified date.

For instance, if a student pays 25% by September 15, they must then pay another 25% by January 1, bringing the total payment to 50%. For newly recommended applicants, the deadline for the first payment is set for September 15.

For students in the second year and higher, the initial 25% must be paid by October 1. The rector or director of the institution may extend the deadline for senior students.

It is also stipulated that the rector can extend the deadline for the final 100% payment. The regulation states that the State Commission can extend the deadlines set for contract payments.

Therefore, in some admission years, the requests from applicants and students may be taken into account, and the payment deadline may be extended additionally. For example, in May 2026, the deadline for paying 100% of the basic and differentiated contract for certain categories of students was extended to June 10.

If the annual contract amount is 30 million sums, the minimum payments are structured as follows: 25% — 7.5 million sums; 50% — a total of 15 million sums; 75% — a total of 22.5 million sums; 100% — 30 million sums. Thus, a new student must pay at least 7.5 million sums by September 15.
