496,303 Seats Allocated for National Certification Exams

The Knowledge and Skills Assessment Agency responded to opinions expressed on social media regarding the established limits for registration for certification exams. The agency announced that a total of 496,303 seats have been allocated for the second half of 2026. ## Distribution of Seats | Month | Number of Seats | | --- | --- | | September | 125,753 | | October | 129,535 | | November | 112,335 | | December | 128,680 | | Total | 496,303 | ## Number and Frequency of Exams From September to December 2026, a total of 15 exams are planned to be held in the subjects of mathematics, chemistry, geography, biology, physics, native language and literature, and history — twice for each, and once for law — totaling 15 exams.

In comparison, during the same period in 2025, a total of 11 exams were conducted, with 255,217 candidates participating. We previously reported that exams in these subjects would be held twice, and the national certification exam in law. ## Purpose of the Regulation The agency emphasizes that the allocation of seats by region is not aimed at limiting candidates' participation in the exams, reducing payments, or artificially decreasing the number of candidates who may achieve high results.

The purpose of this regulation is to ensure a stable and quality organization of exams by making rational use of existing infrastructure, technical means, personnel, and control resources, as well as to ensure optimal distribution of the load by regions and timely publication of results. ## Amendments to the Regulation According to the Cabinet of Ministers' decision No. 411 dated July 29, 2026, amendments and additions have been made to the Regulation on determining the level of knowledge in general education subjects and issuing certificates.

Specifically, these amendments will determine the locations for conducting tests, the number of seats for specific regions, and the exam dates.
