Uzbekistan to Implement Unified State Examination System from 2027

Starting from 2027, Uzbekistan will introduce a unified state examination system that merges school graduation examinations with entrance exams for higher education institutions. This initiative aims to simplify the educational process and reduce the burden on students.

Under the new regulations, students will take two mandatory subjects — the native language and mathematics. Additionally, depending on the chosen field and specialization, students will be required to take two additional exams.

The registration process for participating in the exams will take place annually from January 1 to March 31. The system will first be tested in certain regions during the 2026-2027 academic year, and will be implemented nationwide in the 2027-2028 academic year.
