National University Ranking Introduced in Uzbekistan

A national ranking of higher education institutions has been introduced in Uzbekistan as of 09:47 / 03.03.2026. The Ministry of Justice has registered the regulation on conducting the national ranking of higher education institutions.

The national ranking will be managed by the Education Quality Assurance Agency. Both public and private universities will be included in the national ranking across the following four categories: - practical sciences - medical sciences; - social and humanitarian sciences; - creative (sports).

The results of the national ranking for the previous year will be announced by November 1 each year. ## Key Details and Important Information Each year, by June 1, a nationwide survey will be conducted among students, faculty, and employers, as well as an assessment of international reputation through a survey of international experts. A total of 25 indicators will be used to calculate the national ranking, with 5 determined based on the nationwide survey.

To ensure the results of this survey are considered, at least 20% of students and faculty must participate in the survey. Ministry of Justice.
