Number of Applicants Recommended for Admission in Uzbekistan Announced

In Uzbekistan, for the 2022/2023 academic year, 190,375 applicants have been recommended for admission to universities, as reported by the State Testing Center. Based on the results of entrance exams for bachelor's degree programs, 39,962 individuals received state grants, while 150,413 were recommended for admission on a contract basis.

The distribution of recommended applicants by forms of education is as follows: full-time education — 118,352; part-time education — 45,407; evening education — 9,139; distance education — 3,416. According to the competition results, the average score for state grants was 121.2, while the average score for contract admission was 95.9.

More than 176,000 of the recommended applicants fall within the general admission parameters, while over 13,000 were recommended under additional parameters for disadvantaged applicants. Specifically: individuals with disabilities — 3,200; graduates from orphanages and children's homes, as well as orphans placed in guardianship or sponsorship — 272; those who have completed military service and have recommendations from military unit commanders — 4,700; children of military personnel — 1,900; children of active law enforcement officers — 739; women from low-income families — 1,900; women with at least 5 years of work experience — 379.
