Uzbek Students to Complete Internships at Russian Enterprises

Tashkent, September 22 — Sputnik. Uzbekistan and Russia discussed the establishment of joint scientific laboratories, the implementation of projects in the field of artificial intelligence, and the organization of production internships for students at Russian enterprises.

These issues were addressed during the visit of a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan to Russia, where they met with Konstantin Mogilevskiy, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia. In particular, the discussions focused on organizing production internships for students from branches of Russian universities in Uzbekistan, completing graduation projects at leading Russian enterprises and scientific organizations, as well as expanding dual degree programs and academic exchanges. ## Asosiy Tafsilotlar va Muhim Ma'lumotlar The parties also examined opportunities for creating joint research and laboratories, strengthening cooperation between universities, technoparks, and startups, as well as implementing joint projects in the field of digital education and artificial intelligence.

The establishment of a joint working group to define specific directions, responsible executors, and timelines for implementing the agreements reached is also under consideration. Uzbekistan and Russia signed a memorandum on the development of engineering education and scientific cooperation in October 2025.

This memorandum envisions the establishment of advanced engineering schools, joint research centers, and laboratories.
