Legal Status of Educators In an educational organization, an educator is a physical person who carries out professional activities in the field of education and upbringing based on a labor contract established in accordance with legislative documents and possesses the relevant knowledge, professional training, and moral-ethical qualities. In Uzbekistan, the status of an educator is recognized: their rights, honor, dignity, and professional reputation are protected by the state.

The list of positions related to pedagogical activities is determined by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations. ## 2. Who Cannot Become an Educator - Individuals deprived of the right to engage in pedagogical activities according to a legally binding court decision; - Individuals recognized by the court as incapacitated or partially incapacitated; - Individuals with illnesses that hinder the performance of pedagogical activities; - Individuals registered in psychiatric or narcological institutions. ## Asosiy Tafsilotlar va Muhim Ma'lumotlar It is also prohibited to accept individuals previously convicted of intentional crimes into positions related to pedagogical activities. ## 3.

Working Conditions and Guarantees - For educators in educational institutions, the reduced working time is no more than 36 hours per week; - Educators in state educational institutions are entitled to no more than 56 calendar days of paid annual basic extended leave; - Educators in state educational institutions undergo mandatory medical examinations free of charge in state health institutions; - October 1 is a non-working holiday (Article 208 of the Labor Code). ## 4.

Additional Payments and Incentives School teachers receive an additional allowance of up to 40 percent from the director's fund.

State Awards and Honorary Titles Educators who achieve high results in their activities may be nominated for state awards, such as "People's Teacher of the Republic of Uzbekistan," "Honored Mentor of Youth of the Republic of Uzbekistan," and "Honored Worker of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan." Educators who prepare winners of international and national Olympiads are also awarded monetary prizes in the amounts established by law. ## 6.

Interference in Pedagogical Activities Leads to Responsibility Interfering with an educator's ability to assess knowledge objectively and impartially or obstructing their performance of official duties may result in fines for citizens ranging from 7 to 10 times the basic calculation amount, and for officials from 10 to 15 times. We have also noted that there are restrictions on the professional activities of educators and that their working hours should not exceed 36 hours per week.
