6,000 Young Specialists to Be Employed in IT and Logistics in Karakalpakstan

Discussion on Development Issues On September 19, a meeting was held in Nukus where President Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed the socio-economic development issues of Karakalpakstan. The task was set to provide employment for 1,000 young specialists in the fields of information technology and logistics within a year, and an additional 5,000 in the next two years. ## Youth Statistics Karakalpakstan has a youth population of 1 million 100 thousand, of which 505 thousand are aged between 14 and 30. 98 thousand young people hold foreign language certificates, 127 thousand have certificates in information technology, and 5,500 possess certificates in exact sciences.

The number of individuals proficient in foreign languages and information technologies is around 10 thousand. ## Need for Effective Utilization of Youth Potential The meeting emphasized the necessity of effectively utilizing the potential of youth and directing them appropriately. Additionally, the initiative by compatriots living in Korea to teach information technology to the youth of Karakalpakstan and provide them with high-paying jobs was approved.

By the end of the year, at least 10 talented compatriots are to be attracted to implement relevant projects in Karakalpakstan. ## Financing for Private Kindergartens The meeting also provided information about the introduction of a 15-year credit for private kindergartens.
