Studying in Russia: Quotas, Universities, and New Opportunities for Uzbek Applicants

It is expected that 4,000 to 5,000 applicants will visit the exhibition along with their parents. The press conference particularly highlighted the opportunities for studying on a quota basis.

This year, 810 places have been allocated for Uzbekistan from the Russian federal budget. As Staroselskaya noted, a graduate who studied in Russia on a quota basis is not required to stay there after completing their education.

The program also allows young specialists to apply the knowledge and experience gained in Uzbekistan. Currently, there is a high demand among Uzbek applicants for humanitarian fields.

Following that, economics, IT, engineering and natural sciences, pedagogy, medicine, and agricultural specialties are in demand. Additionally, the "IT Navigator" project is planned to be held in Namangan and Nukus.

The project aims to inform school students about educational and professional development opportunities in the IT field. Previously, Rossotrudnichestvo conducted this project in Tashkent and Samarkand in collaboration with School No. 21.
