TASHKENT, Sept 17 — Sputnik. The total insurance liabilities of insurance companies in Uzbekistan reached 4,415 trillion som as of July 1, 2026.

A year ago, this figure was 2,979 trillion som — an increase of 48.2%. This information is provided in the report of the National Agency for Prospective Projects on the insurance market.

The largest liabilities in general insurance are: - APEX INSURANCE — 917.2 trillion som; - UZBEKINVEST — 710.5 trillion som; - ASIA INSURANCE — 312.6 trillion som. Overall liabilities in the general insurance sector grew by 33.4% over the year, reaching 3,955 trillion som.

The highest growth rates were: - ASIA INSURANCE — 675.2%; - HAMKOR INSURANCE — 565.4%; - EUROASIA INSURANCE — 373.7%. The most significant changes were observed in life insurance.

In this sector, liabilities rose from 13.3 trillion som to 460.5 trillion som, which is nearly a 35-fold increase. Of this, 454.97 trillion som or 98.8% is accounted for by APEX LIFE INSURANCE.

The company's figure increased nearly 48 times over the year. As of July 1, 2026, there were 35 insurance organizations operating in Uzbekistan, of which seven are involved in life insurance.
