Some countries have already begun to incorporate AI into their educational processes: China requires that at least 8 hours of AI lessons be taught in schools each year, while in the Persian Gulf region, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar have started to include AI in their curricula — reports Al Jazeera.

Researchers from Stockholm University and the University of Hong Kong conducted one of the largest studies in this area, observing nearly 27,000 students aged 12 to 18 in China over two and a half years. They cited time-saving, better understanding of subjects, and quick, personalized assistance as the main reasons. The survey also examined the issue of loneliness for the first time: 59% of students reported that AI did not affect their feelings of loneliness.
