Who is Eligible for Discounts on Dormitory Payments?
A crucial question for students living or planning to stay in dormitories is who is eligible for discounts on dormitory payments. Discounts are determined by the Council of the higher education institution.

According to the decision of the Council of the higher education institution, the following categories of students may be completely exempt from dormitory fees: - Students with disabilities of the 1st and 2nd groups due to eye diseases; - Full orphans (both parents deceased); - Orphan students (one parent deceased); - Children from orphanages; - Students in need of social protection.

A 50% discount on dormitory payments may be granted to the following categories of students: - Students with disabilities of the 2nd group due to general illnesses; - Chairperson of the Student Council; - Floor leaders; - Students responsible for the dormitory library (if performing their duties exemplary).

The issue of granting discounts on dormitory payments is addressed by each higher education institution's Council, and thus the procedure for granting discounts and the list of required documents are determined according to the internal regulations of the institution. Students who believe they belong to eligible categories are advised to contact the administration of the educational institution or the dormitory administration.
