According to rector Mikhail Gordin, the Tashkent branch is a unique project for the university. “We do not plan to open branches in other countries, only here.

This is the heart of Central Asia and the most industrially developed country in the region. Here, there is a need for engineers,” said Mikhail Gordin.

A new campus of the university is being constructed in Tashkent. The first building is currently under construction, with work expected to be completed in the next few years.

The project includes a campus designed for 2,000 students and an 800-bed dormitory. Gordin noted that this year’s incoming students will also be able to study in the new campus.

Furthermore, students' education will not be limited to Tashkent. In their senior years, they will have the opportunity to study for a certain period at the main campus in Moscow. “Curricula, requirements, examination records, assessment criteria — everything will be just like on Second Bauman Street.

Your academic records and diplomas will hold the same value as those of your Moscow peers. This is our primary commitment to you,” said Sardor Danayev, director of the Tashkent branch.

Mikhail Gordin mentioned that nearly 80% of fifth and sixth-year students at Bauman University are already employed, with many working in their fields. Employers begin to show interest in students long before they graduate.

The university plans to establish a similar system in Tashkent. “I believe that in a year or two, you will also be in contact with employers, working on specific tasks and projects. We will fully support this,” stated the rector.

Sadriddin Turabjonov, rector of Tashkent State Technical University, emphasized the historic milestone facing Tashkent students. For nearly two centuries, renowned engineers such as Vladimir Shukhov, Sergey Korolev, Andrey Tupolev, and Pavel Sukhoi have studied and worked at Bauman. “It won’t be easy.
