Siege in Kharkiv: Russian Forces Take Control of Malaya Volchya

TASHKENT, September 17 — Sputnik. The Russian army continues to tighten the siege in the Kharkiv region.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 'North' troops captured the settlement of Malaya Volchya, while 'East' troops liberated Rozovka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Since the beginning of September, over 650 Ukrainian soldiers, 16 armored fighting vehicles, nine cars, 13 ATVs, and 25 ground robotic systems have been destroyed in the siege.

During the process of expanding the external control zone, groups attempting to break through the areas of Prikolotnoe and Novoaleksandrovka were also eliminated. Earlier, as of September 7, it was reported that up to 1,700 Ukrainian soldiers remained in the siege in the Kharkiv region.
